Plants are perfectly adapted to their sessile life. Unfavorable conditions they solve by manipulating their growth and reproduction. They are able to repress or to promote developmental processes by changing activity of shoot (and root) apices. Due to their sophisticated molecular mechanisms plants sense gravity, temperature, light, shade and even the season.
