The article describes the way neurons in human brains communicate on three different levels: the microscopic level (among single neurons), the mesoscopic level (in a so-called neural population) and the macroscopic level (among different populations). The terminology of dynamic systems is used, for instance attractors and state changes. This is a part of brain neurodynamics as presented by Walter J. Freeman.
