Fluoritové jeskyně v severních Čechách

Fluorite Caves by Richard Pokorný.

The unique pseudokarst caves with the fluorite mineralization are described in the paper. Caves are situated near the hill Děčínský Sněžník (Ústí nad Labem district, North Bohemia) and they were found during the mining of fluorite (1955–1994). For local caves are typical the huge fluorite layers on the walls. It was established the National monument “Jeskyně Pod Sněžníkem” by reason of the unusual alliance of the pseudokarst caves and the fluorite speleothems.
